Terms of Service & EULA

Commercial and personal licensing terms for StickyShell. Clear, sovereign, and respectful of your computing freedom.

Effective Date: 2026 • Windows Official Distribution

1. License Grant & Permitted Use

PulseMind Studios grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run StickyShell on personal and commercial Windows computers in accordance with Microsoft Store terms:

  • Personal & Commercial Productivity: You may use StickyShell for personal note-taking, professional workflows, and corporate work environments without recurring seat licensing.
  • No Reverse Engineering: You agree not to decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer the compiled binaries beyond what is explicitly permitted by mandatory applicable law.
  • No Unauthorized Redistribution: You may not repackage, re-license, or redistribute StickyShell binaries outside official distribution channels (Microsoft Store).

2. Offline Sovereign Architecture & Data Ownership

StickyShell is engineered as a zero-cloud, 100% offline desktop application:

  • Complete Data Ownership: You retain 100% intellectual property and ownership over all notes, checklists, tables, code snippets, and files created in or pasted into StickyShell.
  • No Cloud Dependency: PulseMind Studios does not store, host, back up, or transmit your data. Your data is stored locally in %APPDATA%\com.pulsemindstudios.stickyshell\stickyshell_data.json. You are solely responsible for maintaining local backups.

3. Local Shell & Command Runner Responsibility

StickyShell provides an integrated Command Runner feature (Ctrl + Enter) that passes user-authored text directly to your local Windows shell (cmd.exe or powershell.exe):

  • User Discretion & Sole Liability: Commands execute with your current user account permissions. You are solely responsible for verifying command syntax before triggering execution. PulseMind Studios is not liable for file deletion, system modification, or data corruption resulting from user-executed terminal scripts.
  • No Network Proxies: The Command Runner operates entirely through local inter-process pipes (stdin/stdout) without passing through external proxy services.

4. Disclaimer of Warranties & Liability Cap

STICKYSHELL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL PULSEMIND STUDIOS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING DATA LOSS, DOWNTIME, OR HARDWARE FAILURE) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE SOFTWARE. IN ALL CASES, PULSEMIND STUDIOS' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE (IF ANY).
